🇬🇧 Rota Vicentina on the spanish blog Hanway

2 minutos de leitura

In his text, Javier speaks of the various tracks available on Rota Vicentina and how they can be enjoyed, but more than that, the basis of his journey is the region, the people who make it his home and the influence of the tourism in the life of those who lived on land and sea.

Noble people, fighters and open hearted who did not want to leave their lands or lose their roots, in order to maintain their customs and traditions.

For the Spanish blogger, this is the main basis for the success of Rota Vicentina: its people. That’s why Javier’s text, rather than a travel article, is an appeal to the delicacy of tourism, the treatment and the relationship with the community that surrounds the trails of Rota Vicentina.
Let’s take advantage of everything they offer without changing their day to day and without letting our dizzying world invade them and make them succumb to success. And what is more difficult, pray that success does not end up filling real estate with a wild and stunning coastline, destroying a wonderful landscape forever

Note that Rota Vicentina, in collaboration with the artist Madalena Vitorino, intends to present in 2018 a series of cultural programs linked to the region’s identity, and this is one of the great mottos of the concept: respect time, traditions and local identity of the region.

The initiative is part of the projects “Internationalization of the Natural Resource Potential of Alentejo and Southwest Alentejo for Active Tourism”, financed by the Alentejo 2020 program, and “Between the Mountain and the Sea – Rota Vicentina as a Road to the Valorization of the SW of Portugal “, financed by Turismo de Portugal, within the scope of the Program of Support to the Valorisation and Qualification of Destination – VALORIZAR.
