🇬🇧 How many hikers are on Rota Vicentina right now?

3 reading time

September means a new walking season!

On October 15th and November 10th we return to the trails to measure the impact of Rota Vicentina in the region. In these monitoring actions, we’ll be covering Rota Vicentina’s region to collect answers from hikers and count how many people are actually walking on the Fishermen’s Trail, Historical Way and Circular Routes.

Want to help?

When?

– Thursday, November 10th, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Lisbon time zone).

Where?

Some trail sections of Historical Way and Fishermen’s Trail, and some of the Circular Routes.

How does it works?

1. Register through this form 👇 rotavicentina.typeform.com/monitoring22

2. Wait to be contacted by our team with more information about the method, place of counting and where to pick your Volunteer Kit.

3. Pick up the Volunteer Kit at one of the collection points.

4. On the day of monitoring action, register your arrival hour, the number of hikers that are passing by, as well as the responses.

5. At the end of the day, return the Volunteer Kit materials and give us your feedback!

What is the purpose of the monitoring actions?

Having as a reference the year of 2017, we want to continue to evaluate use and socio-economic impact of Rota Vicentina in the region, particularly Walking Trails.

This quantitative study will be complemented by two other studies, on an environmental and qualitative level – you can see the 2017 results here (only in portuguese) – and which allow us to find out the real value of the walking market in the region.

If you have any question, please contact us through Facebook, Instagram or e-mail voluntariado@rotavicentina.com.
