I was born in 1995, and before it\u2019s too late, I wanted to embark on an adventure and open a new chapter in my life as a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.rotavicentina.com\/en\/one-year-volunteering-rota-vicentina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long-term volunteer <\/a>here at Rota Vicentina! <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=&#8221;h3&#8243;]A Bit About Me[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I grew up in southeastern Turkey and later studied Law in Istanbul. During my university summers, I traveled as much as possible, eager to learn about new cultures, meet people from different backgrounds, and expand my perspective. As part of a Work and Travel program, I worked in a kite store in North Carolina, backpacked through Italy for a month, and did an interrail trip across Europe with a friend.  <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=&#8221;27016&#8243;][\/vc_single_image][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After becoming a lawyer, I realized that law was not for me. During the pandemic, I began questioning my true self\u2014my needs, desires, and passions\u2014and finally admitted my undeniable <strong>love <\/strong>for <strong>cinema<\/strong>. I started working as an assistant director on motion pictures, internet series, and short films, immersing myself in a world that felt much closer to who I am.  <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=&#8221;h4&#8243;]Why Rota Vicentina?[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When I was searching for a project that aligned with my interests, I came across Rota Vicentina\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@RotaVicentinaSWPortugal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube <\/a>videos and instantly fell in love\u2014with the landscapes, the people, and the sense of community. I wanted to experience what it would be like to be part of such an inspiring environment\u2014surrounded by nature, the ocean, vibrant colors, and a spirit of adventure. More than anything, I wanted to slow down and appreciate the quiet beauty of nature.  <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=&#8221;27020&#8243;][\/vc_single_image][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here at Rota Vicentina, I hope to find peace\u2014connecting with myself, with nature, and of course, with the people.
