Long time friends of Rota Vicentina, Peter and Joke are caretakers of “Troviscais ao Mira” Circular Route that reveals the most inhospitable and authentic side of this magnificent coastal region.
We fell in love with Troviscais, the spectacular nature surrounding it and the traditional way of life here on one of our travels in 2008. Coming from the most populated part of the Netherlands the tranquility here was like an oasis for us. We decided to stay here and never left. The Rota Vicentina circular route is in our backyard, and we love our guests to experience this, still a bit unknown, part of the Alentejo Litoral. Most people come for the coast and the beaches, this route shows them there is so much more to see here.
