After the storm... It’s time to lace up your boots and head back out into the field!
The volunteering season is back! The stormy weather delayed the launch of our Volunteering Calendar for the first quarter of 2026, but it’s now available — with activities for everyone who enjoys being outdoors and exploring trails.
This will be a smaller calendar, with activities scheduled until the end of March.. What are we having in mind?
Maintenance Hikes
The maintenance hikes continue to be the heart of the programme.. More than simple walks, they are moments of connection, learning, and a direct contribution to preserving the Hiking Trails of Rota Vicentina.
And… there will also be a hike dedicated to litter clean-up — a type of activity we aim to strengthen in the future, with a special focus on the Fishermen’s Trail.
With the support of our volunteers, we ensure that the trails remain accessible, safe, and clean for all the hikers who visit us.
Maintenance Bike Rides
This year, we’re once again confirming our maintenance bike rides, inspired by the success of their autumn debut. These activities invite all cycling enthusiasts to join the spirit of volunteering.
The goal is simple: to ride along the Cycling Trails while helping with small maintenance tasks that make a big difference to the experience of those out on their bikes.
Join us!
Whether walking, cycling, or caring for nature, every contribution helps keep the Rota Vicentina trail network alive and preserves the natural heritage that surrounds us.
Participation in the activities is free of charge, but prior registration is required as places are limited. Registration is done through our online form.
Mark the dates in your calendar and invite your friends to join too! For any questions, we’re available via the phone number and email provided on the poster
Important note: If you cannot attend after registering, please let us know in advance so we can offer your spot to someone else.
Can’t make the scheduled dates but would still like to support our work? You can always make a donation ➡️ find out how. here.
See you soon, on the Rota Vicentina Trails! 💚
