Helena e Joia
Caretakers from always (and we hope, forever!)
Helena and Joia are caretakers of one Historical Way trail section, since the creation of walking trails in the region. They take care of Odemira » São Teotónio trail section and today, we want to say thanks for the tireless work that they do in this section and in others maintenance walks they participate. Thank you Helena and Joia! Thank you so much Helena e Joia!

For me and my 4-legged friend, Joia, walk in nature is synonymous of freedom and happiness! As a weaver, it makes me move my leg muscles in a different way than on the manual loom pedals. And for Joia it’s always a party to be able to run and “read all the messages” that others dogs leave on the way.
Rota Vicentina has been in our lives since its creation. We saw the Association growing and we grew up with her. It is a privilege to be part of this ‘family’ that brings to the region everything who is passionate about hiking want to find. We hope to always do maintenance walks!
