Let's talk about invasive species, this time in Aljezur!
On 19 September at 2 pm, Rota Vicentina and CERES International Projectare joining forces in Vale da Telha, Aljezur, for an environmental awareness activity dedicated to invasive species. .
Nature conservation also starts with small gestures: getting to know the territory, recognising the species that are part of it, and understanding the threats that can jeopardise the balance of ecosystems.
An outdoor activity
This will be an opportunity to step outside the classroom and learn directly in the field.
More than simply talking about conservation, we want to create a space for sharing and learning, open to anyone who would like to get to know the nature around us better and understand how they can contribute to its preservation.
Because caring for a territory often begins with knowing how to look at it.
A collaboration for the territory
This activity is a joint initiative by Rota Vicentina and CERES International Project, two organisations that share a commitment to valuing and protecting this territory.
CERES International Project is an organisation dedicated to conservation, field-based education, environmental research, and low-impact recreation. Based in the Aljezur region, within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park, it develops projects that seek to bring people closer to nature through learning and direct experience in the field.
The collaboration between Rota Vicentina and CERES stems precisely from this shared desire to promote knowledge, awareness, and community involvement in protecting the territory.
